Geocortex IMF: Developer Workshop

The Geocortex IMF Developer Workshop is a two-day course designed to provide students with a solid understanding of Geocortex IMF architecture, configuration and customization basics.

Students are led through a series of progressively challenging modules, each built upon the foundation laid by the previous one. By the conclusion of the course, students can expect to have a solid foundation for building IMF applications using Site Manager, as well as the confidence to understand and modify JSP scripts to create new functionality.

Who Should Attend

Unlike our companion workshop for Geocortex Essentials, the IMF Developer workshop is targeted for GIS coordinators, analysts, managers and developers with an intermediate to advanced level of understanding of Geocortex IMF.

Goals

 Those completing the course will be able to:

• Understand the IMF application framework
• Use Site Manager to build your first site
• Perform simple integration with 3rd party applications
• Secure IMF sites/layers/tools
• Configure/customize search and query tools
• Link to external, non-spatial data
• Build custom print templates
• Configure custom reports tied to specific layers
• Customize simple tools/functions

Teaching Methodology

The workshop relies on both instructor-led lecture and hands-on configuration/customization activities to maximize product knowledge and implementation acumen. Each student is provided with a workstation pre-loaded with Geocortex IMF, providing them the opportunity to configure/customize IMF in a supervised manner.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to be familiar with GIS, (java) programming and web application concepts.

Schedule

Courses run from 8:30am to 5pm with breaks in-between sessions and an hour for lunch.

Cancellation Policy

Confirmed attendees who cancel their registration 30 days before the workshop will be entitled to 100% of their registration fee.

For cancellations between 30 and 15 days before the workshop they will be entitled to 50%, and less than 15 days before the workshop, confirmed attendees will forfeit their entire registration fee.
