Geocortex Essentials Fundamentals (REST Elements)

Overview

The Geocortex Essentials Fundamentals (REST Elements) course is a one-day workshop designed to provide attendees with a solid understanding of Geocortex Essentials REST Elements configuration including the creation of workflows. Students are led through a series of modules, each built upon the foundation laid by the previous. By the conclusion of the course, students can expect to have a solid foundation for deploying Geocortex Essentials REST Elements sites that can be used by client API applications. Students will also practice configuring a client API site to use a Geocortex Essentials REST Elements site.

Attendees will be guided through a series of progressively advanced topics, where each topic consists of lecture, group discussion, and comprehensive hands-on lab exercises.

• Installing and configuring Geocortex Essentials REST Elements
• Understanding the application framework and site architecture
• Use a client API viewer to build your first site
• Configuring a site using Geocortex Essentials Manager
• Mashup multiple map resources into a single application
• Linking to external, non-spatial data and tie to Geocortex Essentials tools/reports/workflow
• Building print and custom report templates exportable in multiple formats
• Create a simple workflow
• Customizing a client API viewer

Audience

Ideally suited for those new to Geocortex Essentials REST Elements, this course is targeted for GIS coordinators, analysts and managers eager to learn more about Geocortex Essentials REST Elements’ capabilities and configuration. ArcGIS Server/.NET Web ADF/REST API developers are welcome to attend and may proceed through the modules at their own pace.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to be familiar with GIS, programming and web application concepts.

Cancellation Policy

Confirmed attendees who cancel their registration 30 days before the workshop will be entitled to 100% of their registration fee.

For cancellations between 30 and 15 days before the workshop they will be entitled to 50%, and less than 15 days before the workshop, confirmed attendees will forfeit their entire registration fee.
