Geocortex Optimizer Fundamentals

Overview

Geocortex Optimizer is software that helps maximize and quantifiably demonstrate return on investment for ArcGIS Server. It captures, organizes, and analyzes information about your ArcGIS Server sites and related infrastructure. In this one day course, students will learn to deploy Geocortex Optimizer, configure it for use within a sample ESRI server environment and interpret corresponding results . Students will work with a Geocortex Optimizer expert as they learn how to use Geocortex Optimizer to get the most out of their investment in ArcGIS Server technologies.

Goals

• Installing Geocortex Optimizer – simple and distributed
• Configuring Geocortex Optimizer for use with SQL Server
• Configuring collectors which include Ping, ArcGIS Server probe, Performance Counter, and Log file (ArcGIS Server and W3C)
• Configuring alarms and alarm actions
• Configuring and customizing reports
• Interpreting reports
• Using Geocortex Optimizer to log performance information from Javascript, Silverlight, Flex and WebADF based ArcGIS Server applications

Audience

This course is designed for ArcGIS Server administrators who want to better manage their ArcGIS Server infrastructure. It is assumed attendees have a working knowledge of ArcGIS Server, IIS and database administration. No programming experience is required.

Prerequisites

Students are assumed to be familiar with ArcGIS Server administration.

Cancellation Policy

Confirmed attendees who cancel their registration 30 days before the workshop will be entitled to 100% of their registration fee.

For cancellations between 30 and 15 days before the workshop they will be entitled to 50%, and less than 15 days before the workshop, confirmed attendees will forfeit their entire registration fee.
