We’re happy to announce that as of last week, Geocortex Essentials 4.11 is now generally available to all customers. This update comes loaded with a lot of exciting updates, and we wanted to take some time to break those down for you.
Support for Geocortex Printing 5
Geocortex Printing 5 recently entered open beta. Geocortex Essentials administrators using version 4.11 can now add print templates that are created using this new solution to their applications. Geocortex Printing 5 can also be used from within Esri’s Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS® or Geocortex Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS edition.
Geocortex Viewer for HTML5
In addition to the release of 4.11, we also released version 2.12 of Geocortex Viewer for HTML5, which includes a variety of new features and functionality for you and your end-users to take advantage of.
Improved Attachments
The way you include attachments has been streamlined in version 2.12, with users now having the ability to add attachments while editing or creating a feature.
We go over how this is done specifically in a recent Geocortex Tech Tip. Watch it here!
Starred Feature Selection
You can also now save your most used features, allowing you to reference them more quickly through the use of new starred selections. These let you add features of your choosing to a default section when its respective star is clicked, meaning you can choose your most active features and edit them within seconds.
If you’d like to see this in action, our Chief Technology Officer Drew Millen broke this down in more detail in a recent Geocortex Tech Tip.
Various Other Improvements
There were numerous improvements made in this recent update as well, like support for OGC services and features, and more efficiency when working with large result sets. We also added new commands to hide and show toolbar elements, giving you even more control on how you want your spatial environment to be displayed.
